If portrait and studio photography lighting is your passion and you want to upgrade your portrait and studio lighting skills this is the perfect 3 week course! (model will be the same subject for all 3 weeks, so you will truly get to see the effects and changes in modifiers and lighting techniques on one subject)

You will be substantially well informed from this well paced 1.5 hour per week small group 3 week workshop series and we are limiting the workshop size to only 6 people to allow more hands on shooting time for this special course.

Week 1 - If you are looking to do head shots for a hobby or professionally or looking to build confidence with your off camera flash photography this is the all in information and hands on workshop for you! We will explore all aspects of portrait photography and general studio lighting and shoot many different types of lighting to give a broad spectrum of real world shooting techniques.

Week 2 - We will take a hands on approach and concentrate on reflector placement positioning, lens compression; when to use it and when not to as well as positioning for subjects, We will also touch on different types of portrait photography from real estate to actors head shots with a lot of coverage of lighting backdrops and subjects separately for more control in studio .

Week 3 - We will delve into the previous two weeks work and push it even further with polished lighting to give your images pop and style. We will learn to master different feathering techniques, grids and gels and get confident with what we have already learned the previous 2 weeks.

Who/what is this workshop for?

This workshop is suitable for all skill levels of photographer (we will give you the settings and tips) We will be showing hands on lighting techniques and giving everyone time to shoot each set up and we will spend time discussing the set ups and the light modifiers we are using to shape the light.

Time is money, and we want everyone to get the most of their experience! That’s why we hold efficient classes with professional instructors to allow for short, information packed sessions that maximize the shooting time for each participant. You can buy double shooting time in the workshop if you really want to get more time shooting a specify subject just email me for details if your interested in doubling your time in the workshop.

What we offer from our workshops to our members • A safe and comfortable, yet professional environment for everyone to gather, network, and of course, to take photos! • An array of light modifiers such as; reflectors, umbrellas, soft-boxes, grids, snoots, and beauty dishes. • Multiple, quick, one-on-one sessions with the model(s) to optimize your chances of getting that “perfect” shot- No turkey shoots!
